Randall’s Rescue began by focusing primarily on feral cat colonies after recognizing the urgent need for compassionate, competent rescue work in our communities. All of our rescues are true rescues — they come from all walks of life: feral colonies, alleyways, or situations of abandonment and neglect. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a warm, loving home — or, for some, even their very first. Many of the cats and kittens we save would never have had that chance without rescue intervention.
It is our goal to minimize feral colonies and reduce overpopulation by utilizing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as TNA (Trap, Neuter, Assess). This allows us to identify and bring adoptable cats and kittens out of colonies and into loving homes. At times, however, some cats are feral and in danger or not welcome in their current environment — and that’s when they enter our Feral 2 Friendly Program. We don’t choose to do this out of preference, but out of case-by-case necessity. There’s a time and place for both methods, and we always act in the best interest of each cat. For more information on TNR, please visit Alley Cat Allies — a wonderful resource for helping cats in your neighborhood and for feral colony management.
Our Feral 2 Friendly Program is a vital part of our mission — working with feral and under socialized cats to help them learn trust and companionship. This program began with our beloved Feral 2 Friendly Ambassador, Lionel, whose incredible transformation from feral to social butterfly continues to inspire us every day.
In 2025, we proudly opened Oz Adoption & Socialization Center — South Jersey’s first Adoption & Socialization Center — located in Edgewater Park, NJ. “Oz” is a safe haven for adoptable cats and kittens to rest, heal, and socialize as they prepare for their forever homes. It also serves as the heart of our community outreach and education efforts, giving visitors the chance to learn about rescue, volunteerism, and responsible pet care.
While Oz provides a central hub for our mission, our foster homes remain the lifeline of our rescue. Many of our cats continue to thrive in loving foster environments where they receive daily care, attention, and affection. These homes help our rescues adjust to family life and ensure they’re comfortable around children, other pets, and different home settings. Together, Oz and our fosters form the foundation of Randall’s Rescue, helping animals in need across Edgewater Park, Delran, Mount Laurel, and throughout South Jersey.
And that’s our story so far — but it’s far from over. With your support, we’ll keep changing lives and giving every cat we rescue a chance to find their forever home.
