We are always looking for volunteers, fosters, and adopters to help our rescue cats in need. If you’re interested in volunteering, let us know — we’ll get back to you with our current opportunities and ways you can help. Whether it’s lending a hand at events, gathering supplies, or supporting behind the scenes, every role makes a difference for the animals who depend on us.
Volunteer duties can include a wide variety of tasks — and every single one is equally important in helping animals in need. Whether you prefer hands-on work or behind-the-scenes support, there’s a place for everyone on our team!
Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
- Events & Fundraisers:Â Help plan, prepare, and run fundraising events that support our rescue. From setting up tables to managing events or assisting with community outreach, every helping hand makes a difference.
- Administrative Support:Â Assist with secretarial and clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence. These essential duties help keep our rescue organized and running smoothly.
- Community Outreach: Help spread the word about our mission by distributing flyers, gathering donated items, or connecting with local businesses and supporters.
- Hands-On Animal Care: We also have volunteer opportunities at our Adoption & Socialization Center! Duties include general cleaning, care-taking, and spending time socializing with our cats — our beloved Whiskers of Oz. Volunteers can sign up for scheduled shifts, often paired with another volunteer, making it a fun and rewarding experience.
- Junior Volunteers: Younger volunteers (10+ yrs) are always welcome to participate with a parent or guardian’s supervision.
Every volunteer role — whether it’s event planning, data entry, or giving a cat some extra love — helps us continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding homes for animals in need.
If you’re serious about becoming a part-time volunteer (min. 5 hrs a month) or a full-time volunteer (a few hours a week), take a minute to fill out our Volunteer Application below. This will give us the information we need to best make use of your unique skills you’ll bring to our ‘rescue mission.’
